The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is deepening its regional cooperation by strengthening ties with Cuba and exploring new opportunities with Morocco. According to official statements, OECS officials met with Cuban representatives to reaffirm longstanding collaboration in areas like medical education, disaster risk reduction, and renewable energy. Cuba has been a key partner for many Caribbean nations, providing scholarships and technical assistance.
In parallel, the OECS has initiated exploratory talks with Morocco, focusing on potential cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy. Morocco's expertise in solar energy and phosphate-based fertilizers could offer valuable benefits to the region.
