The official ball for the 2027 African Mini-Football Cup of Nations (AFCON) has been unveiled. Named 'Nimba', the ball was presented by the African Mini-Football Confederation (AMC) on April 28, 2026, according to the AMC's official social media channels.
The design of the Nimba ball is inspired by the Nimba mountain range in Guinea, a symbol of strength and endurance. The ball features a green and yellow color scheme, representing the host nation's flag and the continent's natural landscapes.
The 2027 Mini-Football AFCON is scheduled to take place in Guinea, marking the first time the country will host this tournament. The event is expected to bring together national teams from across Africa to compete in the fast-paced format of mini-football, which is played on a smaller field with fewer players.
AMC President Ismael Diallo stated that the Nimba ball 'embodies the spirit of African football and the unity of our continent.' The ball is manufactured by a local African sports equipment company, supporting regional industry.
