The PASSERELLE Entreprise d'Entraînement Pédagogique (EEP) Maroc program has expanded with the opening of a new training center in the Sidi Moumen district of Casablanca. This initiative is a collaboration with the Fondation Oum Keltoum, aiming to provide professional training and improve employment prospects for local youth.
The center offers practical training in a simulated business environment, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in various administrative and commercial roles. The program is designed to bridge the gap between education and the job market, equipping young people with skills that are directly applicable in real-world workplaces.
According to the program's coordinators, the Sidi Moumen center is part of a broader effort to expand the EEP network across Morocco, targeting underserved communities. The Fondation Oum Keltoum, known for its social work in the region, will manage the center's daily operations and support trainees with mentorship and job placement assistance.
Local officials and community leaders have welcomed the initiative, highlighting its potential to reduce unemployment and foster economic inclusion in Sidi Moumen, an area that faces significant socioeconomic challenges. The center is expected to train several hundred young people annually.
