MANILA, Philippines — Travelers passing through Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 are advised to expect brief power disruptions starting Monday night, August 24, due to scheduled preventive work on the terminal's electrical infrastructure.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced that the interruptions will occur from August 24 to 26, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night, to minimize impact on flight operations. The maintenance aims to ensure the reliability of the terminal's power supply.
During these hours, some areas of the terminal may experience temporary outages, including check-in counters, boarding gates, and baggage carousels. However, critical systems such as air traffic control and runway lighting will remain unaffected.
Passengers are advised to arrive early and coordinate with their airlines for any potential delays. MIAA apologized for the inconvenience and assured that the work is essential for long-term safety and efficiency.
