Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Patrice Motsepe reaffirmed his organization's full commitment to developing football across the African continent during a visit to Salé, Morocco. Motsepe emphasized that CAF has both the will and the resources to support the growth of the sport at all levels throughout Africa.
During his visit, Motsepe met with Moroccan football officials and highlighted the importance of collaboration between CAF and its member associations. Morocco has been a key partner for CAF in recent years, having successfully hosted several continental competitions and being recognized for its strong football infrastructure.
Motsepe, who has served as CAF president since 2021, has made the development of African football — including investment in youth academies, women's football, and infrastructure — a central pillar of his tenure. CAF has pursued partnerships with FIFA and other international bodies to channel resources toward member associations across the continent.
The CAF president also underscored the significance of Africa's growing presence on the global football stage, pointing to the strong performances of African clubs and national teams in international competitions as evidence of the continent's rising football standards.
