Delta police say a motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash near the Surrey-Delta border Saturday afternoon left a motorcycle dangling from a traffic light above a busy intersection.
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 2:30 p.m. on May 10, 2026. The crash occurred at the intersection of 120th Street and 72nd Avenue in Delta, B.C.
According to police, the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle, causing the motorcycle to become airborne and become entangled in the traffic light wires. The rider was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated and crews worked to remove the motorcycle. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
