A motorcyclist in his 40s has died following a collision in Co Cork on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the N73 near Mitchelstown, Co Cork, at around 1.40pm.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to contact Mitchelstown Garda Station.
