Judge Norma Ismail sentenced former cashier Nur Atiqah Asyirah Fauzi, 29, to two years in prison after she pleaded guilty to 14 charges of criminal breach of trust and money laundering. The offenses involved total losses of RM568,200 through misuse of a Touch 'n Go terminal.
The court ordered the sentence to take effect from the date of her arrest. The charges stemmed from her employment at a retail outlet where she manipulated the terminal to divert customer payments into her own accounts.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Asnawi Abu Hanipah handled the case. The accused was represented by counsel from the National Legal Aid Foundation.
