Morocco's trade with African countries reached $9.5 billion in 2026, according to the African Trade Heatmaps 2026 report published by Afreximbank. This marks a significant increase from previous years, driven by exports of vehicles, fertilizers, and agricultural products.
The report highlights that Morocco's exports to Africa have grown by 12% year-on-year, with key markets including Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria. Imports from African nations, primarily energy products and raw materials, also rose by 8%.
This growth underscores Morocco's deepening economic integration with the continent, supported by investments in infrastructure and trade agreements. The country aims to further boost trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
