Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita received the new Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom of Morocco, Luís Faro Ramos, on Wednesday. The meeting took place in Rabat as Ambassador Ramos presented his letters of credence.
Luís Faro Ramos is a senior Portuguese diplomat with extensive experience. Prior to his appointment to Morocco, he served as Portugal's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York from 2020 to 2024. His diplomatic career also includes roles such as Secretary of State for Internationalization from 2015 to 2019.
The meeting between Minister Bourita and Ambassador Ramos focused on strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Morocco and Portugal. Discussions highlighted the positive dynamics of cooperation and the shared commitment to deepening the strategic partnership across various sectors.
