Morocco's economy is projected to grow by 5.3% in 2026, according to Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah. The forecast was presented during a joint meeting of the Finance Committees of the Parliament on July 22, 2026.
Fettah attributed the expected growth to proactive government measures and improved performance in the agricultural sector, which has historically been a key driver of Morocco's GDP. The minister also highlighted ongoing structural reforms aimed at boosting private investment and exports.
The 5.3% growth target aligns with the government's medium-term economic strategy, which seeks to reduce unemployment and fiscal deficits. However, the forecast remains subject to external factors such as global commodity prices and weather conditions affecting agriculture.
Morocco's economy grew by an estimated 3.2% in 2025, according to the International Monetary Fund, making the 2026 projection a significant acceleration. The government has not yet released official GDP data for the first half of 2026.
