The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has stated it accepts the decision of the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) appeal jury to reject its challenge regarding the hosting rights for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. CAF stripped Morocco of the tournament in late 2025, citing significant delays in preparations, and subsequently awarded it to a co-hosting bid from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
In an official statement, the FRMF said it took note of the appeal jury's ruling and would respect the decision. The federation emphasized its continued commitment to the development of Moroccan and African football despite the outcome.
The decision concludes a lengthy administrative process. CAF's initial decision to relocate the tournament was made after an inspection visit raised concerns over infrastructure and organizational readiness. The 2025 edition will now be the first AFCON to be co-hosted by three East African nations.
