The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala Ngambo to officiate the first leg of the 2025-2026 CAF Champions League final between Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and AS FAR of Morocco. The match is scheduled for May 17, 2026, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Ndala Ngambo, a FIFA-listed referee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, is one of Africa's most experienced officials. He has previously officiated at the Africa Cup of Nations and CAF interclub competitions. His appointment was confirmed by CAF's Referees Committee on May 4, 2026.
The second leg will be played on May 24, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The winner will represent Africa at the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup.
