Morocco will kick off the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) against Kenya on July 5, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The match is scheduled for 8:00 PM local time.
The tournament, originally set for 2024 but postponed, will feature 12 teams divided into three groups. Morocco, as hosts, are in Group A alongside Kenya, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This marks the third consecutive WAFCON for Morocco, who reached the final in 2022 and the round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. Kenya qualified for the first time since 2016.
