Morocco and Sweden have signed a bilateral agreement to enhance cooperation in security and police matters. The agreement was formalized in Rabat between Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of Morocco's National Security (DGSN) and Territorial Surveillance (DGST), and a Swedish delegation led by Charlotte von Essen, the National Police Commissioner of Sweden.
The signing ceremony took place on April 21, 2026, at the DGSN headquarters. The accord aims to establish a framework for collaboration in combating organized crime, terrorism, and cybercrime, as well as exchanging expertise and best practices.
This agreement marks a step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two kingdoms in the field of internal security. It follows a series of high-level meetings and reflects shared security interests.
