At the 2026 Salon International de l'Agriculture au Maroc (SIAM), the National Office of Agricultural Council (ONCA), the Office of Development of Cooperation (ODCO), and the Moroccan Interprofessional Confederation of Agricultural Development (COMADER) signed a partnership agreement to support agricultural cooperatives. The ceremony was chaired by Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests Ahmed El Bouari and Secretary of State for Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy Lahcen Es-Saadi.
The agreement aims to strengthen the capacities of agricultural cooperatives through training, advisory services, and market access. It focuses on improving the management and governance of cooperatives to enhance their competitiveness and integration into value chains.
This initiative aligns with Morocco's New Development Model and the Generation Green 2020-2030 strategy, which prioritize the social and solidarity economy as a driver for inclusive growth. The partnership is expected to benefit thousands of cooperatives across the country.
