The housing reform law introduces new tools to facilitate urban renewal and address the growing demand for affordable housing. It also aims to streamline procedures for construction permits and strengthen the fight against illegal construction.
These texts were published following their adoption by the Moroccan Parliament and ratification by the King, as per the country's legislative process. The implementation of these laws is expected to be phased, with regulatory texts to be issued in the coming months.
