According to a statement from Morocco's Permanent Mission to the UN, the group will focus on sharing development experiences, technical expertise, and resources among nations of the Global South. Hilale emphasized that the group is open to all UN member states interested in advancing South-South cooperation.
The announcement was made during a high-level event on South-South cooperation, co-organized by Morocco and several partner countries. The group is expected to hold its first formal meeting in the coming months to outline its work plan and priorities.
