The agency reported temperature anomalies ranging from 3 to 12°C above normal, depending on the region.
The most pronounced deviations were recorded in the southern regions of the country, where the heat was most intense. The DGM attributed the episode to a mass of hot air affecting the country during this period.
Moroccan authorities regularly issue heatwave alerts and advise the public to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and check on vulnerable individuals. The DGM monitors such events and publishes updates on its official channels.
