Morocco is strengthening its institutional response to human trafficking by enhancing the capacities of its investigators. The country's National Commission for Coordinating Measures to Combat and Prevent Trafficking in Persons has been actively organizing specialized training sessions.

In a recent initiative, the Commission, in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), conducted a training workshop in Rabat. The program focused on investigation techniques specific to human trafficking cases, aiming to improve the skills of judicial police officers and magistrates from various Moroccan courts.

The training is part of Morocco's implementation of its National Strategic Plan to Combat Trafficking in Persons (2023-2030). This multi-year plan outlines a comprehensive approach to prevention, victim protection, prosecution of offenders, and fostering partnerships.

International cooperation remains a key pillar of these efforts. Morocco's collaboration with entities like the UNODC and the European Union provides critical technical support and aligns its practices with international standards in the fight against human trafficking.
