A US-led international initiative to raise funds for humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza has secured only a small portion of the billions of dollars pledged by donor countries. According to verified reports, Morocco is one of the very few nations that has fully transferred its committed funds.
The initiative, often referred to as the "Trump Peace Plan" or related economic component, was launched with the goal of mobilizing significant international investment for Gaza. While initial pledges totaled in the billions, disbursements have been slow. A 2025 review indicated that only a handful of donors had followed through with their financial commitments.
Morocco, which had pledged support, is confirmed to be among this small group of contributors that have honored their pledges. The status of other major pledged amounts from various nations and international bodies remains unclear or unfulfilled as of early 2026.
The gap between pledged and delivered aid highlights ongoing challenges in coordinating international support for Gaza, where humanitarian needs remain severe. The slow disbursement complicates long-term reconstruction and economic stabilization efforts in the region.
