The Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI) has received official accreditation for its doctoral cycle, making it the first private engineering school in Morocco authorized to train and award doctoral degrees. The accreditation was granted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
This authorization allows EMSI, which has campuses in several major cities including Casablanca, to offer Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in its fields of engineering specialization. The move is part of a broader national strategy to enhance research and development within Morocco's higher education and private sector.
EMSI, founded in 1986, is a major player in Moroccan private higher education for engineering. The new doctoral accreditation is seen as a significant step in elevating the role of private institutions in the country's academic research landscape and in training high-level experts.
