The McLaren F1 GTR, one of only 28 built, has a notable history: it raced in the 1995 BPR Global GT Series and was owned by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason. It is one of the most significant racing McLarens ever offered publicly.
The Ferrari Luce, unveiled earlier in 2026, is Ferrari's first all-electric model, and this auction example was a pre-production prototype. Its sale price surpassed pre-auction estimates, reflecting strong demand for Ferrari's electric future.
RM Sotheby's reported that the two cars together accounted for a significant portion of the auction's total sales, which exceeded $200 million. The auction featured over 100 collector cars, with the McLaren and Ferrari being the top lots.
