Merseyside Police is investigating a shooting incident on Lodge Lane in Toxteth that occurred on the evening of Friday, June 19, 2026. Officers were called to the scene at approximately 6:30 PM following reports of gunfire.
A man was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown, but police have stated that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Lodge Lane has been cordoned off between Lime Grove and Bentley Road, and the road remains closed in both directions as forensic teams conduct their investigations. Residents are advised to avoid the area.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward. No arrests have been made at this time.
