Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender, will face trial for rape before the Hauts-de-Seine criminal court, the Versailles Court of Appeal confirmed in a statement on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Speaking on BFMTV, Hakimi's lawyer Fanny Colin stated that she believes Kylian Mbappé will be called as a witness in the case. Colin did not provide further details on the potential testimony.
The case dates back to an alleged incident in 2023. Hakimi has consistently denied the allegations through his legal team. The trial date has not yet been set.
