SINGAPORE: A 36-year-old man will be charged in court on Friday (Jun 19) for multiple traffic offences, as well as possession of a scheduled weapon and unauthorised possession of weapons.
In a news release on Thursday (Jun 18), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said the man was involved in an incident at about 8.10pm on Wednesday (Jun 17) along Kallang Bahru. He was allegedly driving a car erratically before crashing into a taxi.
Police said the man was arrested at the scene. No injuries were reported. The taxi driver was unhurt.
The man is expected to be charged with dangerous driving, driving without a valid licence, and driving without insurance coverage. He will also face charges for possession of a scheduled weapon and unauthorised possession of weapons.
If convicted, he could face fines and imprisonment. The case is scheduled for mention in court on Friday.
