The 'Blade' reboot was announced in 2019 with Ali attached to star, but production faced numerous delays and creative changes. Multiple directors came and went, including Bassam Tariq and Yann Demange, and the film never entered principal photography.
Ali's comments mark the first time he has publicly addressed the project's status. Marvel Studios has not officially commented on the film's future, but the actor's statement suggests the project is no longer in active development.
