EA Sports has officially announced Madden NFL 26, the latest installment in the long-running football video game series. The game is set to release on August 15, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The cover athlete is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who led his team to the playoffs last season.
Key features include a revamped passing system with enhanced accuracy and control, improved AI for more realistic player behavior, and a new 'Superstar Mode' that allows players to create and guide a custom player through their career. The game also introduces cross-play support across all platforms, enabling friends to play together regardless of console.
EA Sports has also announced a partnership with the NFL to include updated rosters and weekly challenges tied to real-world games. The game will feature all 32 NFL teams and their current stadiums, with plans for post-launch updates to reflect mid-season trades and injuries.
Pre-orders are available now, with special editions offering early access and exclusive in-game content. The standard edition is priced at $69.99, while the MVP Edition includes additional perks for $99.99.
