Significant travel disruptions are planned for Dublin's public transport network over the Easter 2026 holiday weekend due to essential engineering works. Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and Irish Rail have confirmed suspensions affecting both the Luas Red Line and DART services.
From Saturday, April 4, through Easter Monday, April 6, Luas Red Line trams will not run between the Red Cow and Tallaght/Saggart stops. A replacement bus service, the 901, will operate along the affected route to connect passengers. Services on the Green Line and the remainder of the Red Line are expected to run as normal.
Simultaneously, DART services will be suspended between Grand Canal Dock and Bray/DΓΊn Laoghaire on Saturday, April 4, and Sunday, April 5, to facilitate track renewal works as part of the DART+ programme. Irish Rail will operate bus transfers between these stations. Commuters are advised to check the official Transport for Ireland website or the Luas and Irish Rail apps for real-time updates and detailed journey planning before travel.
