The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has released more than P651 million in fuel subsidies to public transport operators and drivers across the Philippines. The board confirmed the distribution in a statement dated March 30, 2026.
The subsidy program is part of the government's Pantawid Pasada initiative, designed to cushion the impact of rising fuel prices on the public transport sector. The LTFRB stated that the payout process is progressing according to its planned schedule.
Eligible beneficiaries include drivers and operators of public utility jeepneys (PUJs), buses, taxis, and transport network vehicle service (TNVS) units. The funds are being distributed through cash cards or direct bank transfers to pre-registered individuals.
