The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will kick off on July 5, 2026, with hosts Morocco facing Cameroon's Lionesses at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, according to the official draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on April 29, 2026.
Cameroon, drawn in Group A alongside Morocco, Zambia, and Senegal, will aim to improve on their previous WAFCON performances. The Lionesses reached the semifinals in 2022, finishing fourth after losing to Nigeria in the third-place match.
Morocco, the 2022 runners-up, will look to leverage home advantage. The tournament runs from July 5 to 26, 2026, across four Moroccan cities: Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Tangier.
CAF confirmed that the top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The winner of WAFCON 2026 will earn a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
