Moroccan striker Soufiane Benjdida has completed a transfer to Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly, according to multiple reports. The 24-year-old forward, who was formed at the Mohammed VI Football Academy, joins the Cairo-based club after a standout season with Moghreb Athletic Tetouan (MAS).
Benjdida's move to Al Ahly was finalized in July 2026, with the player signing a multi-year contract. Financial details of the transfer have not been officially disclosed, but sources indicate the deal is worth several million euros. The Moroccan international is expected to bolster Al Ahly's attacking options as they compete in domestic and continental competitions.
During the 2025-26 season, Benjdida scored 15 goals in 30 appearances for MAS, helping the club secure a top-four finish in the Botola Pro. His performances earned him a call-up to the Moroccan national team, where he has made three appearances.
Al Ahly, the most successful club in African football history, have been active in the transfer market this summer as they aim to reclaim the CAF Champions League title. Benjdida is the club's third signing of the window, following the arrivals of midfielder Ahmed Nabil and defender Mohamed Abdelmonem.
