Ghanaian Afro-fusion music duo Lali x Lola won the honorary Telecel Music for Good Award at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) on Saturday, May 9, 2026, taking home one of the evening's most cherished accolades.
The fast-rising identical twin artists were recognized for their philanthropic work, including supporting education and health initiatives in rural Ghana. The award, sponsored by Telecel, honors musicians who use their platform for social impact.
Lali x Lola, known for hits like "Kente" and "Sankofa," have been active in charity since their debut in 2023. Their foundation has built two libraries in the Volta Region and funded scholarships for 50 girls.
The 27th TGMAs, held at the Grand Arena in Accra, also saw other winners including Stonebwoy for Artiste of the Year. The event celebrated Ghanaian music and its role in community development.
