Krafton has announced the shutdown of PUBG Blindspot, a free-to-play PC tactical shooter spinoff from its PUBG: Battlegrounds franchise. The game, which entered Steam Early Access on January 24, 2026, will be discontinued on March 28, 2026, after approximately two months of availability.
The developer stated the decision aligns with its strategy of using Early Access to "quickly validate a gameβs potential." Krafton indicated that the project did not meet the internal standards required for a full global launch following this validation period.
This closure occurs despite the continued financial success of the broader PUBG franchise. In February 2026, Krafton reported record annual revenue of 2.69 trillion Korean won (approximately $2 billion) for 2025, largely driven by PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC and console and its mobile version.
Krafton has ceased sales of the game's Founder's Pack and will fully terminate all services. The company has outlined a refund process for players who purchased the pack, to be processed through their original payment platforms.
