Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi visited District Mansehra on May 6, 2026, where he inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for 12 major development projects worth over Rs25 billion, according to official statements from the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The projects include the construction of a 100-bed hospital in Mansehra city, a new road network connecting remote areas, and a water supply scheme for the district. Afridi stated that these initiatives are part of the provincial government's commitment to a people-centric development agenda, aiming to improve infrastructure and public services.
During the visit, Afridi also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and directed officials to ensure timely completion. He emphasized transparency and quality in execution, saying, 'Our goal is to provide maximum relief to the people through sustainable development.'
The total cost of the projects is Rs25.3 billion, as confirmed by the KP Communication and Works Department. The projects are expected to create thousands of jobs and boost economic activity in the region.
