Kuala Lumpur police have arrested four men in connection with dangerous wheelie stunts on motorcycles that were captured on video and went viral. The arrests were made on June 8, 2026, following an investigation triggered by the footage.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were detained in separate locations around the city. Police seized several motorcycles believed to have been used in the stunts, which took place on public roads, endangering other road users.
According to a statement from Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, the men are being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving. If convicted, they face a maximum fine of RM5,000 and up to five years' imprisonment.
The video, which circulated widely on social media, showed the group performing wheelies on busy streets. Police urged the public to report similar incidents and reminded motorists to prioritize safety.
