The Minnesota Timberwolves announced that Kevin Garnett's No. 21 jersey will be retired on Feb. 28, 2026, during a home game against the Denver Nuggets at Target Center.
Garnett, a 15-time All-Star and the 2004 NBA MVP, played 14 seasons with the Timberwolves across two stints (1995-2007 and 2015-16). He led the franchise to eight consecutive playoff appearances from 1997 to 2004, including a Western Conference finals run in 2004.
The team also unveiled a statue of Garnett outside Target Center, which will be unveiled on the same day. Garnett is the first player in franchise history to receive this honor.
Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor said, "Kevin is the greatest Timberwolf of all time, and this is a fitting tribute to his impact on our franchise and the state of Minnesota."
The jersey retirement ceremony will take place during a nationally televised game, with details about the ceremony to be announced later.
