Ghana and South Africa have qualified for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup after winning their respective intercontinental playoff matches, according to official FIFA results.
Ghana defeated Chile 2-0 in their playoff, while South Africa edged out Peru 1-0, securing their places in the tournament scheduled to be held in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, 2027.
This marks Ghana's first appearance at the Women's World Cup, while South Africa returns after their debut in 2023. Both teams will join the other qualified nations in the expanded 32-team field.
The playoffs, held in February 2026, determined the final spots for the tournament, with these two African sides showcasing strong performances to advance.
