The Kaduna State Government has approved the procurement of 6,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser for the 2026 farming season, alongside the approval of 11 road projects in Zaria, according to a statement from the state's Executive Council.
The fertiliser, intended for distribution to farmers across the state, aims to boost agricultural productivity and ensure food security. The road projects, located in Zaria and its environs, are part of the government's infrastructure development plan to improve transportation and economic activities in the region.
The approvals were announced following a State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Uba Sani. The government did not disclose the total cost of the projects or the fertiliser procurement.
