Jaida, a Moroccan fintech company, and Chari, a B2B e-commerce and fintech platform, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on June 16, 2026, to enhance cooperation in financial inclusion, micro-entrepreneurship development, and support for social and solidarity economy (SSE) actors in Morocco.
The partnership aims to leverage digital solutions to provide underserved communities, including micro-entrepreneurs and SSE participants, with access to financial services such as credit, savings, and insurance. The MoU outlines joint initiatives to train and equip these actors with tools to grow their businesses sustainably.
Both companies have a track record in financial inclusion: Jaida offers digital payment and lending solutions, while Chari connects small retailers with suppliers and provides financing options. The agreement formalizes their collaboration to expand reach and impact in Morocco's informal economy.
This initiative aligns with Morocco's national strategy for financial inclusion, which seeks to reduce the unbanked population and promote economic resilience among vulnerable groups. The partnership is expected to pilot in several regions before scaling nationally.
