Jaguar Uranium Inc. has reported preliminary surface sampling results from its Huemul uranium-copper-vanadium project in San Juan Province, Argentina. The company collected 25 rock chip samples from the project area, with assays returning uranium grades of up to 0.12% U3O8, copper up to 0.15%, and vanadium up to 0.08%.
The Huemul project is located in the Cordillera Frontal region of San Juan, an area known for polymetallic mineralization. The sampling program was designed to test surface exposures of mineralized structures identified during previous exploration campaigns.
Jaguar Uranium CEO John L. B. Smith stated that the results confirm the presence of uranium-copper-vanadium mineralization at surface and provide a basis for follow-up work. The company plans to conduct additional geophysical surveys and trenching to further define drill targets.
The company noted that the results are preliminary and that further sampling and analysis are required to fully characterize the mineralized system. No drilling has been conducted yet at the Huemul project.
