Irish actors Carrie Crowley and Ruth Bradley have joined the cast of the upcoming film adaptation of Claire Keegan's short story 'Walk the Blue Fields.' The project, announced in late 2025, will star Emily Blunt and Andrew Scott.
John Crowley, who directed the 2015 film 'Brooklyn,' is attached to direct the adaptation. The film is currently in pre-production, with filming expected to begin in Ireland later in 2026.
The story, originally published in Keegan's 2007 collection, is set in rural Ireland and explores themes of memory and isolation. Further casting and production details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
