The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is scheduled to hear appeals on Thursday from former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, challenging their conviction in the £190 million corruption case, according to Geo News.
The case, also known as the Al-Qadir Trust case, involves allegations that Khan and his wife accepted land worth billions of rupees from a real estate developer as a bribe. The developer had been ordered by the UK's National Crime Agency to return £190 million to Pakistan, which was allegedly misappropriated.
Khan and Bushra Bibi were convicted in January 2025 and sentenced to 14 years in prison. The appeals were filed in February 2025. The IHC had previously reserved its verdict on the maintainability of the appeals.
The hearing comes amid ongoing legal battles for Khan, who faces multiple cases. The court is expected to hear arguments from both sides before issuing a decision.
