Health Minister Y. Satya Kumar Yadav conducted a meeting on Sunday, June 28, 2026, to review seasonal disease control measures with District Collectors, District Medical and Health Officers, and other senior officials from the North Andhra region. The meeting focused on preparedness for monsoon-related illnesses such as dengue, malaria, and typhoid.
During the review, Minister Yadav emphasized the need for proactive measures, including vector control, availability of medicines, and public awareness campaigns. He directed officials to ensure adequate stock of essential drugs and diagnostic kits in all government hospitals and primary health centers.
The district officials presented their action plans, including surveillance of fever cases and fogging operations in high-risk areas. The minister also stressed the importance of clean drinking water and sanitation to prevent waterborne diseases.
This review comes ahead of the monsoon season, which typically sees a rise in seasonal diseases in the region. The government aims to minimize outbreaks through coordinated efforts between health departments and local administrations.
