Havelock North's RTA Studio won three awards at the 2026 Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects awards, adding to its three wins in 2025. The firm took home the Public Architecture category for the Hawke's Bay Airport Fire Station and the Hawke's Bay Museum Research and Archive Centre.
RTA Studio also won the Education category for the Havelock North High School Performing Arts Centre. The awards ceremony was held on May 8, 2026, in Auckland.
Other Hawke's Bay projects recognized include the Craggy Range Winery Restaurant by Studio2, which won the Hospitality category, and the Te Mata Peak Lookout by Archimedia, which won the Small Project Architecture category.
