Harvey Nichols closed its Dundrum Town Centre store on Thursday, August 13, 2026, after 20 years of trading. The British department store group had opened the 32,000 sq ft store in September 2005 as a blueprint for its expansion via smaller format shops.
The store, located over three floors, was part of a wave of high-end retail that helped establish Dundrum as a premier shopping destination in Ireland. However, the outlet had struggled in recent years, with the company's Irish arm reporting losses and the store being described as being "kept on life support" for two decades.
The closure was confirmed by Harvey Nichols, which said it would focus on its core UK market. The Dundrum store was one of only two Harvey Nichols locations outside the UK, the other being in Hong Kong.
The news comes as a blow to Dundrum Town Centre, which has seen other retailers exit in recent years. However, the centre's management said it was already in talks with potential new tenants for the space.
