Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are developing a film adaptation of the best-selling memoir 'No Way Out: The Searing True Story Of Men Under Siege' about a British military mission in Afghanistan, Netflix announced on May 14, 2026. The book, written by British Major Adam Jowett, recounts the 2008 siege of a British outpost in Helmand province.
The project is part of the couple's multi-year deal with Netflix through their production company, Archewell Productions. No casting or release date has been announced yet. The film will be produced by Archewell in collaboration with Netflix.
Prince Harry served two tours in Afghanistan as a British Army officer, including a deployment in Helmand province in 2007-2008. The memoir details the experiences of British soldiers during a Taliban siege.
