GURGAON: A 25-year-old software engineer allegedly killed his colleague by slitting her throat before dying by suicide on the railway tracks near Gurgaon railway station, police said. The two had been working at the same IT company in Sector 59 for the past two years.
The incident occurred late on July 12, 2026. The woman, also in her mid-20s, was found dead in a rented apartment in Sector 56 with her throat slit. Police recovered a knife from the scene.
Hours later, the man's body was discovered on the railway tracks near Gurgaon station. Preliminary investigations suggest he died after being hit by a train. Police are investigating the motive behind the murder-suicide.
No suicide note has been found so far. Authorities are questioning colleagues and family members to determine if there was any personal or professional dispute between the two.
