Police officials stated that the room showed signs of disturbance, including blood on the bed, urine on the floor, and liquor bottles nearby. However, Gayatri's father, who spoke to reporters in Visakhapatnam, said he does not suspect any foul play in her death. He requested privacy for the family during this difficult time.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death. Police are investigating the circumstances and have questioned the homestay owner and staff. No arrests have been made as of June 17, 2026. The case remains under investigation.
