Gbenga Daniel, born on April 6, 1956, is a Nigerian politician and engineer who served as the Governor of Ogun State from 2003 to 2011. A member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during his tenure, he was known for infrastructure projects and educational initiatives in the state.
After leaving office, Daniel remained active in politics. He served as the Director-General of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 elections. In 2023, he defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Beyond politics, Daniel is a successful businessman with interests in hospitality and media. He is the founder of the Gateway Front Foundation and the political group, The Third Force. He holds a degree in Engineering from the University of Lagos and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
